Bianca Spinola Imperiale ( ?-1624) daughter of Giovanni Vincenzo di Leonardo and Girolama Doria di Giannettino; Sister of Cardinal Orazio Spinola (1547-1616) and granddaughter of Gio Andrea Doria, Prince of Melfi, married Gio Giacomo Imperiale, 92° Doge of Genoa (1554-1622), from which she had their only son Gio Vincenzo Imperiale (1582-1648). Her son Gio Vincenzo married in second marriage Brigida Spinola, whose notoriety is linked to the famous portrait done by Rubens in 1606, which portrayed her when she was still married to the marquis Giacomo Massimiliano Doria.

Bianca Spinola is portrayed with her niece Maddalena Imperiale, daughter of her husband Giovanni Battista Imperiale’s brother.
