The board

The monument consists of a standing statue, fixed to the wall and supported by a shelf with a corbel, in the centre of which the Spinola coat of arms is carved; below is the epigraph written in Latin. The figure holds a block with a Latin tuple.
The figure holds a scroll with a Latin titulo: “Eja agite o cives Patriae succurrite mecum.  Dupliciter Patriae qui dedit illud habet” (Come on! Act, citizens! Help the country with me! Those who gave to the Homeland, will possess double!).
